In the 32 years since we first opened Plas Bodegroes, the food, wine and service in our elegant and romantic restaurant have gained the highest awards from all of the leading guides, including Good Food Guide UK Restaurant of the Year 2003, and a Michelin star, which we held between 1991 and 2008. Our reputation has been based upon the modern interpretation of traditional dishes, concentrating upon the superb local ingredients, and Hugh and James bring exactly that same passion for ingredients to their very accomplished dishes.
The great majority of the produce we used comes from Wales, including Welsh Black beef, mountain and saltmarsh lamb, free range pork and chicken from local farms. We serve prime Welsh cheeses, and vegetables, herbs and fruit from our own kitchen gardens. We are very aware of the need to conserve fish stocks, so source our fish as sustainably as possible, and do not use endangered wild species.
Our Private dining room is the perfect place for functions of between 10 and 20 guests. Leading onto the equally private courtyard, the perfect place for your drinks and canapes, our private dining room is ideal for a family birthday party, meeting or gourmet tasting dinner with matching wines.
